Methodology & data sources
Kilometres driven are logged via Verified Fleet OBD devices plugged into each vehicle, sampling location every 5 seconds. Raw GPS points are zone-classified (city/suburban/motorway) based on speed thresholds and road class lookups against OS OpenRoads data.
Estimated impressions are calculated using DfT Annual Average Daily Flow (AADF) data, modelling Opportunities-To-See per km based on the road's average traffic density, multiplied by sighting probability adjusted for vehicle ad surface area and visibility coefficients drawn from Outsmart's OOH industry standard.
Audience profile is estimated from the postcode-level mix of ACORN-equivalent socio-economic groupings traversed during the campaign, sourced from publicly available ONS data and weighted by km spent in each area.
Comparison CPMs are 2025 UK industry averages published by Outsmart, IAB UK, and Thinkbox. No campaign-level performance is implied for the comparison channels — the figures show what the same budget could buy at published rates.
